R for re-engine , F for "french version", not only the cappability to cargo(reinforced metal floor, instead of wood), also a dual air pressurising system, and few others differences compared to a standard kc-135 R

c'est sur, c'est l avantage d'avoir du matos 1000 fois amortis, que ca soit des mirage f1 ou des kc 135,puma,mirage F1, ils ne pourraient pas faire ca avec des rafale ou des ec 725, vu le cout des engins.

@azis1100 : It's a C-135FR ("F" for Freighter and "R" for Re-engined), only French army have this, US use KC-135R ("R" for Re-engined)
