Now if the person walking stepped on the peel unexpectedly they would have less time to adjust to the possibility of falling. Being unaware of the hazard mentally makes the difference. They body is designed to prevent itself from falling, especially if the person sees it coming.

And the point of this show is for entertainment. Just like slapstick comedy. I laughed when Adam bit it 6 times. I was entertained...Myth Busted.

I agree with you on that point; awareness makes the difference. I do think that it also comes down to surface area, and one banana under one boot probably doesn't have enough to destabilize an entire young human body.

Of course, when you get older and your reactions and agility start to wane, one banana might do it. But most people that aren't 80 are probably nimble enough to stay on their feet. Again, what do I know, in the end.

So... What if you're running and you step over a banana peel? The momentum would probably make it slide along the floor more than usual, so... What do you guys think?

It would also depend greatly on what the banana peel is placed on, a rough surface would cause too much friction for the person to slip, also if the surface is able to absorb the moisture from the peel quickly the slipping effect will also be less likely.
