  • What happen if there's a Q? Why does the two C's with the accent have the same sound? The D with a slash sounds exactly the same as DZ. Can anyone tell me why?

  • @dsaraga I was just lazy with the Cs and Ds. They actually do sound different but only slightly. What do you mean if there's a Q? We don't have a Q in our language but if a foreign word has one we read it then.

  • I have a couple of friends in Croatia so this video does help. XD

  • @nekizmijavcanin3 Yeah... I didn't say it was easy... :P

  • @quietboygonewild yeah... but when merging G+J it can also be Đ as in Gjuro (Đuro) :P

  • in Croatia we do not differentiate Č and Ć enough like Srebs, so average Croat will write wrong many of the words with those 2 letters. Slovenians on other hand don't even have Ć and they manage just fine.

  • @quietboygonewild You say Č hard, and Ć soft. (He was lazy to pronounce it right). The letters are created by merging 2 letters into 1. (ex. C+H= Č, C+J=Ć, D+Ž= Dž, D+J=Đ, L+J=Lj, N+j=Nj, S+J=Š, Z+J=Ž) - This depends on what letters you're merging in what words (ex. Ž can be created by merging Z+J or G+J). In word Brz (Fast) it merges with Z when it's transformed into word Brži (Faster) (ex. Brz => Brzji (Z+J) => Brži) or Drag(Nice,Sweet) into Draži (Nicer,Sweeter) (Drag => Dragji (G+J) =>Draži)

  • @dsaraga We have letters: Č, Ć, Dž, Đ, Lj, Nj, Š, Ž. We don't have letters: Q, W, Y, X. If you have english words translated into croatian the same way (ex. Teenager - Tinejdžer) we write it by our language standards. In croatian you say Q [kju], W [duplo V], Y [ipsilon], X [iks].

  • @Xialia183 Try to, youll know another language then when u go to croatia, if u ever go, youll know how to speak to them. Its kinda hard tho, good luck. =]

  • @ExtremeSerbian Jebem ti vlašku mater četniče prljavi.....NOŽ KOLAC JASENOVAC!

  • Č and ć are different letters.....The thing is that some people in Crotian do not know the difference.....I mean the know(č is hard,ć is soft) but they dont know how to prounance them.....For example ćevapčići (those people prounance the word ćevepćići or some čevapčiči).....The letter Q isnint used in croatian, only in loan words.....And the its prounanced kj or kv.....
