The Strangeloves were the creation of an American songwriting team in the 1960s who were from New York, but pretended to be from Australia. Their biggest hits were "I Want Candy," "Cara-Lin" and "Night Time". This single was originally released in 1965 and reached #39 on the U.S. charts and #100 here in Australia. Johnny Young covered this locally and did a lot better.
