  • The nanny shows are one learning tool I think if parents are open to changing. That said I don't think people can make behavior changes in their parenting or child's behavior in just a short time. It is a big commitment. I don't have the answer. There has to be something better than taking parenting classes where you attend with people who are court ordered to be there. Thoughts?

  • I probably should stay out of the argument. I don't think I'm such a great parent - I'm sure I've made a million mistakes...it's dangerous ground to say "THIS is the right way in regards to parenting."

  • uh i dono but it just popped up and i clicked on it...

  • Oh great. I'll just assume it's the point of "rotten kids generally indicate bad parenting."

  • Wow.... you made a good point :)

  • Um, what point exactly? (just wondering...gotta stockpile those good points for future reference.)

  • yeah, I don't imagine a dude who's into ani franco and cyndi lauper would look at mamarama the same way i would

  • perv.

  • do you ever wear pearls? don't discount them you, pearls, and black would really command attention

  • Response part 3:

I realise that you must LOVE motherhood as so much of your identity is now tied up into it (the show, youtube, doula training, blogging about parenting etc). So although its disheartening to hear how difficult it can be, and how much it can dampen a spirit of someone who is obviously so into motherhood, that still, it must be worth it.

  • Response Part 1:

Just about to give birth to our first baby (any day now) and for some reason this video made me feel really discouraged. How can we as parents-to-be ever fully be aware of the reality of a newborn or a child for that matter until we're actually there? Did you have bad days before motherhood that made you question yourself and your worthiness?

  • There are 56 *you know*s. Feel free to delete my comments they are not to embarrass but to bring to your attention. Being 17 I get every comment criticized and I dont want your points made in your videos to be belittled by your use of *like* and *you know* . Thanks!

  • Hi, while watching your video I couldnt help but notice the amount of time you said *like*. This is only humorous to me because I am 17 and am accused of misusing *like*. I am trying to get better, but thank you for breaking the age stereotype. Just for the hell of it I watched the video again and counted, I figured you should know you said like 57 times in the course of your video. Im going to watch it again to count the *you knows*
