In California, almonds are big business - but they need more and more increasingly scarce honeybees to stay that way.

  • At Capital Hill Farms LORGE HONEYBEES we opted out of California's Almonds this year because of the severe drought and introduction of new viruses there and related problems that made this a bad year to be in California for many beekeepers. Many Orchards that gambled on cheaper hives colonies were badly served. Therefore, to help the industry we will promote long term relationships and contract protection for Almond and Orchard Growers to help them get through these difficult times.
