@Jorgen87 True landfills are the most popular because it's cheaper to maintain and if a landfill is properly built it shouldn't smell as much but burning trash I think is more disastrous. Sorry didn't mean to sound anal haha I'm taking an environmental health class and learning so much...I hope to visit Norway someday :)

@colorfulpride well, than you should check all over the world.. most western countrys has the facilities for burning it insted of let it go to landfills ;) I know atleast one landfill, and the smell of it is well known for the outsiders that drives trough that county ;)

@Jorgen87 Burning trash is disastrous to the earth. If your country is truly burning trash I'm sad to say your country has a lot of learning when it comes to sustaining the earth in a healthy manner.

red wing mn has a landfill that has been closed for more than 10 years, it's for sale now, i would live to buy it and mine it so it can be used again, but sadly i can't afford it

What ever we see is dirty tends to be dirty. We use our ideas. Take that trash and turn it into plastic.

Why have lots of landfills when you can have 2-3 places where its all be burned?

In norway we have maybe about 6-7 landfills but more and more is closing down cause of all is going to a large burning-place where even trucks comming from several places. A normal day its about 500 garbage trucks unloading at that 1 place alone..

I don't get it - do they compact the waste before dumping it into cells? If thats the case, than surely more air pokets will be created, once the compacted waste is transferred to those cells...

He called the scrapers bull dozer's haha.What a dumb ass and D-8's are a horrible idea they catch everything in the tracks useing a compactor just saves time and trouble.Think caliche when covering with soft black dirt it makes a huge problem when it rains and for customers to back up wherre you need them .How bad ass I can work any machine on this video like a champ.I work at a landfill.
