Woody Allen's film comes to an end with a montage of scenes and a voiceover by the heartbroken philosopher: what is the meaning of life, the purpose of suffering, the consequences of our choices, the nature of love. A wonderfully touching conclusion to a thoughtful and enormously entertaining film.

  • I'll never forget this ending. Truly going for the underbelly of human nature.

  • I wanna know the name of the song on the background.

  • My favorite non fiction author Chris Hedges would wholeheartedly agree with each of the precepts announced in this soliloquy. Simply, Hedges' words would be different and stated in an essay, rather than a film scene. Outstanding would be the idea that in an indifferent universe humans have the ability to create happiness through our choice to love. And the idea that the small, mundane moral choices are monumental in their sum.

  • Beautiful. Just beautiful.
