endgunculture? Nice name. It reeks of bias and bigotry. The registry was created by cowards like you to control law abiding citizens. It has nothing to do with fighting crime or protecting women against violence. It is a control measure used by statists to enslave their people and keep them under control. If you are all about protecting women why not fight for their right to carry a pistol for their own protection rather than make them out to be mere victims? Typical socialist BS.

What was wrong with any of those guns you showed? A semi auto shotgun with a 5 shot capacity, a ranch rifle again with a 5 shot capacity and a Beretta which is a RESTRICTED weapon meaning it would still have to be registered. Moron.

Kudos to you for letting folk vote and comment.

@CanadianReich 2) noting what one person did in a massacre in NO WAY gives you the right to legislate against an entire population. Perhaps every single man woman and child in Canada should be treated as potential assassins and legislation passed against them, right? Illogical, biased, unfair, unjust.

" including the powerful Ruger Mini 14 used in the Montreal massacre" A common rally cry, yet illogical on two key points: 1) the Mini 14 is WEAK. My M14 battlerifle, the same gun but the bigger brother, you seem to have no problem with. The Mini 14 fires a .223 round, a round so weak one can not ethically hunt deer with it (man sized game). The M14 fires a .308 round with MUCH more power. These "assault rifles" you note are FAR LESS POWERFUL than your average deer hunting gun. 2) (more)

1min 9 secs of total bulllshit. COMMON-SENSE PEOPLE, THAT'S WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS!! These comments are the proof that a Gun ban doesnt do anything to stop people from commiting suicide or killing people!!!
Registred or not, legally acquired or not, bad guys get their hands on guns anyway and WILL do bad things with 'em ANYWAY!!!
-
More people are stabbed to death every year than shot. Where is the knife registry? 44% of all suicides in Canada are by hanging. Where's the rope registry? 38% of women killed by their husbands were beaten/strangled/drowned to death. Where's the bare hand registry?
If a gun registry is so crucial in stopping criminals, why is it that the homicide rate in Canada has never dropped lower than it was in the early 1960's, over a decade before you even needed an FAC to purchase a firearm?
FAIL

because a little slip of paper that says you gun is registered is not going to stop a criminal in committing crimes with guns all it does is cost the government 2 billion dollars
-
anyone who believes the registry will make them safe is a fucken retard strap on your helmets and grab your crayons .......and let the adults talk
"powerful Ruger Mini 14" Let me tell you something, your car going at 50km/h has more kinetic energy (aka kill power) than the entire unrestricted capacity (In Canada its limited to 5, but lets assume 30) of bullets has.
Also a piece of paper does nothing name, address, and serial number only helps the Dawson College victim's families knowing the gun next to the gunman was registered to him. WHEN IN FACT IT SHOULDVE BEEN REVOKE DUE TO HIS BEHAVIOUR PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Registry doesn't help.

Regardless of any other possible argument or reason to register guns the simplest fact and argument remains: they are weapons that kill, they should be registered. We register our cars, our pets, money transfers of over $10,000, we expect people to get fishing and hunting licences. We even expect them to get gun licences.
What possible logical argument can be made that people shouldn't register their guns?
I have yet to hear one.
