Democrat congressional candidate Mike Arcuri, while serving as district attorney of Oneida County, N.Y., billed taxpayers for several questionable expenses, including a call to a phone-sex hotline, according to records obtained by HumanEvents.com.
This brings up a good point: Rob Bluey SAID in his oringinal article that there appeared that it was an honest mistake. However further in the article he detailed severa calls to strip clubs which were never explained. The NRCC made the ad and ran with the flawed info, but no-one ever thought to ask Arcuri about the strip club calls.
Besides its a moot point: Mike is up to his neck in Spitzers Hookergate now. So it was probably true.
More republican LIES!!!! "The phone records show a call to the number of an adult fantasy talk service at 3:26 P Jan. 28 '04, but the very next minute, 3:27P the records show another number was dialed. The second number was IDENTICAL except for the three-digit area code, and was the number of the NY State Dept of Criminal Justice Services. It was Sean Byrne, exec director of the NY Prosecutors Training Institute, who made both calls" See: factcheckDOTorgSLASHarticle460.html
Arcuri has provided records showing that a number with the same last seven digits, but a 518 area code, was made one minute after the 800 number was called. That 518-457-8462 number goes to the state Department of Criminal Justice Services. Sean Byrne, executive director of the New York Prosecutor Training Institute, said Friday he had misdialed the 800 number from Arcuri's hotel room.
This tells you the how desparate the Republican are. This is a disgusting new level of desparation that the news ought to use to fuel the removal of Republicans from office. The Swiftboating of Arcuri failed.
Now its being discovered the number was not even a sex number when the call was made.
Thanks RNC! Your billiant strategists just sealed the election for Arcuri.
the Utica Observer-Dispatch today notes that Arcuri's campaign has released records to the paper showing the call to the 800 sex line was followed the very next minute by a call to the state Department of Criminal Justice Services -- and the last seven digits of the two numbers are the same.
This mistake cost NY a little over one dollar. How desperate is the RNC to run these ads?
