@ohoffice I have all of this first and only series on VHS somewhere- if I get a moment I'll upload some of the better bits to my account. There's a particularly fine rant from Gove about Polytechnics at the time which were becoming Universities that everyone should see. Just been watching The 10 o'clock show for the first time and realised what a rip off of this it is. Thanks for posting this vid.

No class in the US??? That's a joke! In a way, there is more 'Class Distinction' there then ever now! Try filling in a US-based survey and get 'Screened-Out' because you don't fit into their idea of 'Well-Educated'! They can't get their heads around anyone who left school at 15 (in 1958) yet has gone on to further their education later, or gained vocational qualifications! You don't get that sort of discrimination in Britain now!
