  • There's an excellent article in the December 2009 issue of Discover (a science magazine) about dead zones.

    The title is - Phosphorous Fields, Phosphorous and nitrogen fertilizers drive modern agriculture, but they are also poisoning the planet.

    So much for that idea from the vegan crowd that if everybody just ate plants, the world would be so much better.
