Here's an original coaster design that I spent a couple of weeks developing and creating. The coaster, Raijin, is named after the Japanese god of thunder. Likewise, the entire experience revolves around him. Throughout the queue, you travel through a Japanese garden, which features plenty of beautiful vegetation and Asian architecture (for those of you interested, you'll notice that after the waterfall I included a roped-off area for extended queue in the event of extra-long lines). The queue culminates at the preshow, where you enter Raijin's temple. Inside, you find a giant shrine of Raijin and Fujin (Japanese god of wind). Unfortunately, neither of them is thrilled that you've stepped foot into their temple, so they seal off the way you came in and instead open a door on the other side of the room, leading you into the station and onto the ride to experience their fury).

The ride itself is a typical wooden roller coaster, but it offers a unique design on almost a mile of track. It's also a very thrilling ride (Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 rates it as Very High Excitement, Medium Intensity and Medium Nausea). The coaster features several visual tricks and reaches up to 4.7 positive Gs (and -1.5 negative Gs). Having a 20MPH cable lift, the fastest in the world, this coaster reaches speeds that will be sure to have a "thunder" echo throughout the area.

I also want to offer a BIG thank you to Dasmatze for his Intamin Wooden Coaster Design (available at http://www.dasmatze.de/rct/news.php) and Old-Spice for his amazing Asian Empire scenery set (available at the custom scenery link below). Without their efforts, this ride would not have been possible. Another thank you goes out to www.mousebits.com for offering incredible Disney audio.

On a final note, please be sure to become a fan of my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/Steamboat-Productions/74234002925?ref=ts). I post high quality videos there (including the ones from which youtube has removed sound) and photos of my rides that you can save to your computer, including backstage and construction photos. There are also discussion boards for questions, comments, and ride requests. In addition, my videos are often posted on Facebook BEFORE they're posted on Youtube.

ALL CUSTOM SCENERY, INSPIRATIONS, AND MUSIC IS LISTED IN THE CREDITS OF THIS VIDEO.

Enjoy =)

    2. Patience

    3. Perseverance

  • this is nice. mainly couse of all the detail time and effort you put into this.

its also a unique style since there are close to no coasters with a chinese/japense/asian time.

Good work and i hope you make more coasters. i never regret i subcribed to you!

  • I'm glad I keep you impressed!

  • That was amazing! I totally agree with Imagineer4211. I loved the use of the scenery. It actually felt like a ride that I would find next to Expedition Everest or something. Great work and keep it up! 5/5

  • Thank you! I try to be as detailed as possible.

  • i enjoy watching your rollar coasters<3

you know "raijin" is japanese word, right?

if you wanna focus on Japanese, change the statue of elephant into the statue of Raijin.

    raijin't statue exists in japan:)

  • Sup Imagineer! What CS Sets did you use for the asian styled buildings and those lilypads on the water.

  • wmg >:( Nice coaster BTW

  • The coasters name reminds me of Fujin Raijin II

( A togo standup that killed a woman when derailed)

  • CTR

  • Great scenery in the queue and station, but almost none on the coaster itself. I'll give it a 4.5/5.

PS be careful with the name. Someone got killed on a coaster of nearly the same name. It was called Fuijin Raijan II.

  • wat coaster car did u use?

    kl coaster

  • The queue line & station were both excellent. Great attention to detail. The ride was pretty good. Should worked more on the day/night transistion at 5:20 but I know how hard that can be; did it myself on Blackbeard's Gold. The ride had a few to many right turns making it a little predictable. I think it should've been more of a twister. Still, great ride & excellent video. 9/10 & 5 stars.
