Ride aboard NASA's Dawn spacecraft on a virtual flyover of giant asteroid Vesta. Mission data was used to create the topography you see. Waypoints include: Divialia Fossa; Marcia crater, part of the "snowman" feature; and Aricia Tholus.

    Its a planetesimal. It got large enough to start to differentiate (Heavy stuff to the centre light stuff the edge). Look up the HED Achondrites, as they come from this parent body.

    Watching this video reminded me of how I felt the first time I lay back in my chair at the astronomy museum when I was young thinking to myself, It is possible to venture into space and how much fun it would/will be!! very exciting
