The Passat CC is the coolest car out right now as far as Im concerned. I wish they would throw the 2.0TDI in that bad boy.

@350zalltheway Are you kidding me?! First of all, VR6 engine produces 280hp. Secondly, the 130i has a HUGE power to weight ratio (it's over 600lbs lighter with only 20hp less!). Which is why I am suspicious of two things, first that the bmw isn't actually racing, and second that if it is racing, it's probably a 125i or 128i.

@hsyed87 Definitely - I have a 130i and it sounds NOTHING like the supposed 130i in this video! My bet's on it being a 125i.

@hsyed87 The VR6 in this Passat has 300ps (295bhp/220kW).

The passat is built on the audi A4 platform. Therefor a passat 4motion has a quattro awd drivetrain. An audi A3 is built on a golf platform and therefor an A3 quattro is actually just a 4motion.

But..... .:R36 has more torque, DSG gearbox, and 300HP vs 265HP. Flying start is on the Passat side. Also, from 0 to max R36 is faster, because LC, and DSG, and 4-motion. And, Passat CC V6 4Motion is 180 KG's heavier than 130i. It is faster on straight line because of pure power, but it's a little slower on the track.

@TorchTexas They did. At least in Europe, we have the Passat CC with 2.0 TDI and also a version with a smaller petrol engine, 1.8 TSI (160 hp) with both Supercharger and Turbocharger.

With a 300bhp 3.6 v6 the p*i*ssat should be against a 335i to make this a comparable video, dont quite understand why people are getting on their high horse about VW when its the more powerful car and it pulled on the 130i.
