(Jaylins PoV)
Its been a little over three weeks since the incidences. Joes to ashamed to even look at me, let alone talk to me. I wont tell a lie, I miss Joe, the person he used to be. I cant forgive him though, I look at him for than a few seconds and I hyperventilate due to old memories flooding my brain. Even thoughts of us being close again, in any way type of way, scare me beyond my wits. I almost hate to say it, but my friendship with Joe, is like the dinosaurs, extinct. With Kevin its worse. I never thought you could miss someone so much, I also never thought that a person could hurt another without actually touching them. I was wrong, so wrong.
(Friday, at school, after lunch)
Principal: Thank you for meeting with us Miss Williams. This is Mr. Brown. (from Camp Rock) Hes the head of our music department here and he teaches our most popular class, Lyrics and Performance.
Jaylin: Thats cool and everything, but what does this have to do with me? Im late for Yearbook.
Brown: Slow your roll, Miss Williams. You dropped your comp notebook yesterday. I couldnt help but look, these lyrics are great, and especially the one set that is a full song. How come you didnt join my class? Im sure youd be great.
Jaylin: Music is great. Its not my thing though. I didnt mean to write lyrics or even that song. It just happened.
Brown: Poppet, thats talent at its best.
Jaylin: You wanna see talent at its best, you should see my brother, err, I mean my friend Nick. Hes awesome. (AN They never told anyone that Nick was her brother.)
Brown: I dont doubt that. *smiling* If youre anything like your brother, I mean friend Nick, you are just as awesome. *Jaylin laughs nervously*
Principal: Thats where I come in; you are being transferred to Lyrics and Performance. Dont worry, your Creative Writing teacher signed off. Thats all Miss Williams, you are free to go.
Jaylin: Do I even get a say? *stuffs her comp notebook in her back pack*
Principal/Brown: No.
(Hours after school, Nick and Jaylin laying on her bed, Mama Williams and the other children are gone for the weekend)
Nick: You remember Frankie?
Jaylin: Tattoo Frankie? Yeah of course. *chuckles* I almost got you your tattoo. That day, I finally learned why so many women love short skirts. What about him?
Nick: Hes been working on my back. Hes almost finished. Its gonna look awesome.
Jaylin: *sits up* Oh my god, Nick. How come you never told me?
Nick: *sitting up, shrugs* I dont know. (AN Im not gonna describe his tattoo, but I picture it as a collage of tattoos that litter his back. Nick having a tattoo to me, was very important to his character. His character, before the actual storyline started, was broken; he was trying to figure out who he was as a person.)
Jaylin: *leaning towards his back, sounding like her bubbly normal self* When do I get to see it? *smiles*
Nick: Not til its finished. *catching her handing creeping by the back of his shirt* Ok wise gut. *smiles* You wanna play like that? *grabs her hand, starts tickling her*
Jaylin: *laughing* Stop. Nick. *nick on top of her*
Nick: *smiling* Than say it.
Jaylin: *through laughter* No way. *he continues to tickle her, her Jaylin necklace slips out from under her shirt. (She had been wearing it for a couple a weeks now. She figured out that she couldnt get over Kevin, this helped.)
Nick: *smiling, rolls off Jaylin* Be happy, sister, you win. This time. *him and Jaylin falling asleep* That necklace is great on you. Whered you get it?
Jaylin: Thanks. Ive had it a long ti...
