@littleNorwegians I'm waiting for Guild Wars 2 too, looks awesome, but the gameplay still looks very WoW based. I'm really, really waiting for actionrpgs, take a look at the gameplay of Blades n'souls and Phantasy Star Online 2. Complexity of MMO with action game mechanics, that's the future! :D

Ps: But I really wished they make this kind of game with Mortal and Darkfall freedom concepts. The cocept is just perfect. I wouldn't have to buy another game for the rest of my life :(

@NVaizard Gave Darkfall a try, it was a little better, but still not great.

I feel MMORPGs as a genre have yet to evolve anywhere near its potential.

Currently just looking forward to Guild Wars 2 seeing how they go out of their way to almost mock all the things that stagnate the genre.

It's been nice talking.

@littleNorwegians I see, well, your problem goes a little deeper, with the genre. I don't think they hit the nail in Mortal too, but I could overlook their problems after the noob phase. Give Darkfall a try, Mortal copyed the concept of Darkfall, maybe you'll like this one a little more. Another tip is to look for Action-MMORPGS, like PSU or PSO2 (SEGA Games). I hope I could help.

Ps: Check video "What is Darkfall Online?", they used almost the same words used to describe Mortal, it's funny :P

We did not jump into this, we tried, and we tried, we talked on the forums and the more we dug the closer we got to the rotten core. You can be "hardcore", I suppose, but I don't see the reason. I love the concept of this SO much. Very much. But its execution is flawed in so many ways.

I hate every MMORPG out there, especially the number crunch ones and this had chance. But it failed
