Done some test on my iPhone 3G and have been able to duplicate many of the Reception/Transmission issues that are found on the iPhone 4. When holding my iPhone 3G, the phone loses 2 to 4 bars and Reception/Transmission speeds are dramatically reduced (I used the SpeedTest app). Maybe we should be testing other iPhone models, as well as Droid phones to get a better perspective on this issue.

Developers: Uhh Steve, people are complaining about that antenna issue we anticipated.
Steve: So?
Developers: We were just wondering how you wanted to address the issue.
Steve: Tell those dumb shits to not hold it that way.
Developers: What if they do hold it that way.
Steve: I dunno, make up a cover story or some shit. Just don't let them know we fuked up.
Developers: How about we tell them that the signal strength has been wrong since the first iPhone.
Steve: Perfect, they'll believe that.

The best of it is that Nokia patented a similar antenna design back in 2001 (and are now in a legal argument with Apple about it). The releases a phone in 2002 that had this design, it had the same reception issues and they stopped using the design because they realized it was flawed. 8 years later Apple make the same mistake, i wonder will they be smart and ditch the design or will they go for the normal stubborn approach.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
people need to so their research before jumping to conclusions. There is nothing wrong with the phone itself and Apple stated that the issue is simply related to a bug in the way the bars are lined up.That is why the call was is not lost during a phone call.Apple, acknowledged this bug and a simple update will resolve this.
