@brandy7945 No, olive oil and your body's oil are different. Your body's oil causes your acne and open pores.

ok but oil and dirt cause acne soooooooo...youll get more bad skin probs?

I have been using extra virgin olive oil for 2 years now to remove my makeup and my skin is in the best condition it's ever been in . I am so glad to see someone promote oilive oil as a makeup remover it is cheap, easy and really should be talked about more = )

Eventuelly, the oil will just dry your skin more, just like petroleum jelly does.

@KateCful Using olive oil shouldn't dry your skin out at all. It depends on the other cleansers you use with it. Petroleum jelly has chemicals in it, so it's a whole different issue. I suggest Alba's Unpetroleum Jelly as a substitute.

Hi, after wash the face with olive oil, should we use cleanser? Thank you.

@fergusonniall Yeah, use cleanser to remove the oil. Often the oil will still leave a bit of a residue, because it's hard to get off, but that is good for your skin. So normally I'll only use it in the shower or before bed, since it can be a bit messy.

is it good for the scalp as well?

@barak219 Yeah, it can be good for your scalp and even your hair - but it can take a lot of washing to get it out so I don't suggest using it before you need to go somewhere.
