Hard Disk repartitioning using Disk management tool

There are many tools that perform this operation like Norton Partitioning tools, Partition magic software .etc, also you can implement it by using the Windows Built-in Disk Management tool (which can be approached by right clicking the My Computer icon then Manage then Storage and then Disk Management).

@sprite605 If you are partitioning a hard disk using the running windows that isn't on it, you may lose it yes... but if you are asking about the windows on the same hard disk the Disk management tool will inform you that this partition contain the operating system so you cannot format..
