Maya 2011 Create and Control Fur Tutorial by Stuart Christensen

This is yet another simple way to work with fur (or "hair) in Maya. By attaching a "fur description" to a Nurbs sphere, you can easily control your fuzzy stuff. This tutorial by Stuart Christensen will give you a few pointers with how to use the Ramp Shader technique to add fur to specific regions that need a little fuzz. Got Fur????

what the? how did you get a "FUR" drop down menu????? i dont have the fur drop down menu. you said to go to "rendering" and i did. but when you i go to the top drop down menus, for example i have "File, Edit, Modify, Create, Window, Assets, Lighting/Shading, Texturing, Render, Toon, Stereo, Paint Effects, (no fur, i dont have fur here), Muscle, Help". please HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!

ok, so what if you have a body already made but you want to add hair only to the head of the character and say you want i want to manually high light which area i want the hair to go on. HOW WOULD I DO THAT?????? please help
