Hamar, NORWAY - 1994 Winter Games, Figure Skating, Pairs' Technical Program - Natalia Mishkutenok and Artur Dmitriev of Russia rebounded from the morning practice where Artur dropped Natalia onto the ice when their back press lift collapsed. They placed 2nd after this skate. An interview with Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov of Russia follows.

Having watched all of M &D's programs I can find here on youtube in their 94 Olympic season, and reading up on the stories abt Natalia's coping with her own problems, I have a lot of respect for her performance here. Artur was as good as ever, though you can tell that he wasn't as sure as he had been before. Tamara Moskvina really cracked me up, but whatever the case her hypnotizing worked well.

Wonderful performance by M&D. I love how Artur just collapsed at the end... that is HEART!  They had more speed and confidence with every step--I remember feeling such vindication for them after all the bad press and all the naysayers. To me, they did enough to win but like Scott said, it just depends on your taste. I love G&G sitting in the crowd showing their support. Ah, the golden days of Russian pairs!

Произвольную программу выиграли Мишкутёнок - Дмитриев. На 100%. Их катание выше по сложности и качеству,чем у Гордеевой и Гринькова. К тому же ГГ сделали много ошибок, Гриньков чуть не упал, Гордеева приземлилась на две ноги, но судьи этого " не заметили". Вот вам и субъективное отношение.
