Site Icon Tutorial

I have always really liked when sites had the little icon
in the address bar to the left of the URL, and until yesterday
I didn't know how to do it. I made this rough tutorial because
I figured many others would like to know how to do it too.

That's cool, I have a South Park character I've been wanting to use. I think you should be wearing your safety equipment. From the sound of the Geiger counter, I'm going to say the radiation is at an unsafe level.

I don't think you need Irfanview. I just made a 16x16 px jpg, renamed the end from .jpg to .ico, uploaded it to a server and used your code. works fine for me...

if you can't see the extention of your files go to

My Documents> Toos (menu)> Folder Options> View (Tab) and uncheck the box that says "HIDE EXTENSIONS FOR KNOWN FILE TYPES". That was great. I always wondered what the html code for the icon. Thanks for the tutorial!
