Naftali Temu-Ron Clarke.6 Miles,1966 CW Games,Jamaica

A short clip of the late,great Naftali Temu,still in his early 20's,utterly destroying the equally great Ron Clarke (27.14.6 to 27.39.4).Two years later he did even better ,winning the Olympic gold over the 10,000 m.After that it was,sadly, a downward slide. Sadder still,Temu died in 2003 of prostste cancer,still only in his 50's,as he couldn't afford the 600 dollars for treatment.As one of the first wave of world class Kenyan runners(and their first Olympic Gold Medalist) I rather think he deserved a lot better !
