@Concon0227 Skip both of those as they are terribly dated by today's standards. The 40D is a great improvement over the 30D and should not cost you more than $500 for the body only. Definitely get the 40D.

@MrRunningfreak The 40D is a great improvement but even the 40D has really harsh Noise at 1600-3200.
But it is 10 times better than the 10D's 1600 but for me it seemed a little noisy, i use a 1D mark 3 so i guess its understandeable to expect very low noise.

@theonewhoeats i own a canon 10D and i love it to death. but it isnt amazing on high ISO's. lots of noise and just really dark photos. i plan on getting a 40 D soon

what is better 30d or 10d does 30 have bette quality??
-
is the 10d bigger than the 50d anyone?
-
it would be better than getting a point an shoot, but compared to dslr's of todays market it wouldnt come close to matching up with even the budget modles
is this a good camera to get even today?

Image quality is certainly competitive with DSLRs of today, just at a reduced resolution. Still, 6.3 MP is plenty for most people as long as you don't intend on doing a ton of cropping. The main area where it lags behind newer models is speed. USB 1.1 and slow review times can require patience. If you plan on shooting fast action I recommend at least a 20D.

Push the DRIVE•ISO button and turn the main dial until the display shows three overlapping squares. This is continuous shooting mode.
