  • @KPAracing Well I know the RB26 came out in the early nineties. I am not really sure how far along v8 technology was back then but the did really good on these engine. I am sure that for the period it was the best match. However now a days i am sure its totally different. How much would the ls2 cost in comparison to a 2jz or rb26?

  • @12supra99 Thats cool bro..the Gen IV LS2 was available in 2005 and it was fitted in Holden Commodore HSV - Monaro/Pontiac GTO, Chevrolet Corvette, Cadillac CTS-V, Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS and Saab 9-7X Aero

  • @KPAracing The gen 4 ls2s came along around what time. (Not trying to start anything. Just curious) As in what cars where they in.

  • @12supra99 In terms of weight, an RB26DETT weights 250Kg while a Gen IV - LS2 V8 Chevy weights 200Kg (440 lbs) as its all aluminum top to bottom and its engine block is shorter compared to that RB26 bringing the weight back abit, so it wouldnt ruin the balancing I guess.. anyone can fit LSx engines to almost all RWD cars cheaply these days

  • @KPAracing It costs too much and can ruin the handling and balance of real sports cars.

  • they both have their pros and cons. the 2jz is by far the best to modify, cheaper too, you always see 800+hp supras on youtube, not so many rb26's. however the rb26 can be a beast too but cost a lot more. so as what other people said, 2jz for the strip, and an rb26 for the track.

  • 2JZ=Drag beast

    RB26=Track beast

    and the good old push-rod V8=Dyno king

    For all the muscle car haters, there is no replacement for displacement.

    What you do to a 4/6 cylinder, do the same to a V8 and you will see what im talking about.

  • Stock Supra vs. Skyline GTR R34

    0-100kph: Supra = Lose, Skyline = Win (only by half a second)

    >100kph: Supra = Win, Skyline = Lose (no chance at all)

    PS: Supra(1993) RWD 320HP. R34(1998) AWD 280HP = Its pretty damn clear which engine is better...

  • rb30dett 2jz both unreal engines
