had a early 90's 240 station wagen. travelled across perth to melbourne and back across the nullabour ,3 grand there and 3 grand back, temp was well over 45 degrees cent,

cruised on 140 kph.

Never missed a beat,no mech problems.Its gotta be tough and ready out here,Volvo can cut it.

But, VW better,cause now I travel T5 ,the best Vw ,
