When Barack Obama was sworn into office, he took an oath.

But now that he's President, what has he done?

After swearing on a Bible to uphold the law and defend our Constitution, he's made a shocking move: he unilaterally decided to no longer defend our country's Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA, which is the federal law that defines marriage as between one man and one woman.

DOMA was passed by an overwhelming bipartisan majority and signed into law by President Clinton.

But that didn't seem to matter to Obama. Instead of doing his job to uphold our law, he's dumping it behind our backs.

What's at stake? Marriage, as the loving union of a husband and wife dedicated to giving children the mom and dad they deserve.

But not just marriage: government of the people, by the people, and for the people is AT RISK.

To send a message to President Obama to stop messing with marriage and to help support the defense of marriage in our country, visit defenddoma.com today. With your help, we can protect marriage and the laws that defend it.

  • heh as if anybody who feels strongly on that subject voted Democrat.

  • President Barack Obama is doing the job that he was elected to do. In refusing to back DOMA, he is upholding the constitutional rights of American citizens and protecting them against those who wish to oppress them.

  • You can help win the fight for full marriage equality by going to the website of the Human Rights Campaign and lending that great organization your support. Just search for Human Rights Campaign on Google.

Don't Believe NOM's Misleading DOMA Ad

  • Yeah, Bill Clinton, defender of marriage :P

  • did you really make this video? what a joke

  • They obviously don't know politics or they are super right wing. The president chooses between what rights should go in and go out, and if he supports gay marriage, then he does, nothing you can do.

  • @TheMissSel At this point, I wish I lived in Canada, too. Politics here are crazy.

  • you guys are douches

im glad i live in Canada

  • You do not need to defend marriage against me. I am all for it, for anyone who wants it, male or female.

The biggest threat to your marriage is not me, but Divorce. Deal with that and I think you'll find that marriage will actually have defended itself.

If you check out US states and other countries where there has been gay marriage for a few years, you will find that heterosexual men and women are still getting married to each other, unimpeded by me or my gay colleagues in any way whatsoever.
