  • Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

  • Just watched this American Masters show. I didn't grow up with Joan Baez in our house but have always enjoyed her in adulthood. This show reinforced why I like her....and the activism increase my admiration for her. I will say that I was disappointed that Pete Seager wasn't in this show (unless I missed it when I left the room for a few minutes).

Joan - you are an amazing woman. Thanks!

  • wie romantisch ist das denn ... ;-)

  • What a fantastic posting. Thank you.

  • She is amazing!

  • joan baez..a bird in human form..

  • Music is in her slightest breth. It makes me happy:)

  • This must be one of the very earliest videos of Joan. She looks soooo young here, maybe 19 or 20. And the voice was already there----that amazing, amazing voice.

Can you imagine being born with a voice like that?

  • Wow, this is terrific.

  • Joan was and is the real deal. The voice and soul of true liberalism before it was demonized by the far right.

  • A very nice pure rendition by Joan. I've always loved her voice. Her heart is in the right place, but her politics are a little lock-stepped leftist for me. But keep singing Joan, you have brought me much pleasure, thank you. The song is actually titled, "I Never Will Marry", not as shown above.

  • Looks like a guru teaching more than a singer singing.

Must be from 59 to 61 or so.

Already the girl in the halfshell.
