By popular demand- "Eight Bits of Jam" returns with their unique mix of Koji Kondo jazz and 80's sax riffs (courtesy of Ben Golder-Novick) to provide real-time jazz accompaniment to an eleven minute speed run of the 8-bit Nintendo classic, "Super Mario Bros. 3." The sounds of the original cartridge are faithfully reproduced by saxophone, piano, and other instruments, and even the original soundtrack of the oft-forgotten "Wham" stage is included, for posterity's sake.

The original speed run comes from here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wz3BuYYhnn0

-------------------------
Love 8-bit Nintendo games but not necessarily 8-bit musical instruments? Wish you could hear the soundtracks of those games rendered by live musicians as you play?

Eight Bits of Jam will come into your living room and provide real-time acoustic soundtracks to old school games such as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Mike Tyson's Punch-out, and many more. All you have to do is put the television on 'mute' and Eight Bits of Jam will take care of the rest.

  • @J5MARLON It's a known glitch in the game. You use a Whistle on the Warp Zone to automatically go to World 8.

  • @PaperSpock it is

  • I call bullshit on getting the warp whistle to world 8 but other wise its a good video.

  • 3:09 this part of the soundtrack gave me a "Manos the Hands of Fate" vibe...

  • @jimmycjc2 rosalina.

  • my favorite part is the sax & guitar solos at 3:09 and 4:06. As much as I love the original i think i would have rather played to this as a kid lol

  • I mainly watch this video for 5:41

  • @Rey3127 Do you know the title of this song ? I've known this riff forever but the title remains a mistery

  • @PercyHeartless

For clarification, this is the TAS (Tool Assisted Speedrun) of Super Mario Bros. 3.

    Search that term!

  • @Rey3127 amazing.
