Here are a few shots of our recent trip to the earthquake damaged orphanage in Haiti where we spent 2 weeks rebuilding the perimeter wall. Imagine Missions had planned on a large group flying to Haiti to install a metal roof system on an unfinished building inside the orphanage on Jan 23rd. Then the terrible earthquake happened. The orphanage survived the quake without injury to any of the children, thank God, but the security wall that surrounds the complex was severely damaged. The dorms where the children sleep were also damaged leaving them outside in makeshift tents with people standing guard at the downed sections of wall. Our focus changed completely from roofing, to rebuilding the wall. Our group flights were postponed, so we sent smaller teams to react quickly and restore the basic security that a wall offers in Haiti. Mark Cox II, Ryan Hicks and Scot Caley flew in first and spent a week working on the wall. Ben, Paul and Terrell Massey flew in a week later to continue the work. Most of this footage comes from the second week of work. There is still much work to be done. Go to www.imaginemissions.com or www.shilohmountaintrio.com for more info.
