Aslong as education continues over the coming years we will continue to move away from religion as we've been doing so since the enlightenment/revolution period.

I've talked to some very educated ex-muslims recently. They are at university in England. It is a very positive sign indeed.

In Pakistan and Afghanistan, FOS is prohibited and punishable by law.

In the west it's not, and some muslims want this scrapped.

It's sad (and petty) that we still have to put up with such backward thinking.

When you talk about Human Rights: Islam as an idea falls hugely behind. Especially for woman. Islamic nations will never sign the UDHR.

No matter what Muslims feel about Islam - the ideas just don't work with modern western democracy.

Smart people in the U.S. not only despise their government's policies, but they also feel horrible that they are associated with the religious Christian fanatics, and the generally ignorant, indifferent population at large.

The problem my nation faces is they are willing to fight a war half-heatedly. If the action required for conquest were the total annihilation of the indigenous population, maybe we wouldn't embark on such endeavors.

you think so? you forgot to mention any of the horrors Muslims have been responsible for. who were the Janissary? From where I stand, India had problems, Islam did not help Indians, now they are Pakistani's and Indians and they fight and kill each other doing many atrocities, same in Iran and Iraq and many Countries where Muslims commit terrible crimes against humans who do not share what is IN their HEADS...so how does Islam help? I cannot tell Murderers and Religious people, what's the diff?
