Installing clean, reliable, inflation-proof solar power is easier than ever, thanks to the invention of thin-film photovoltaic (PV) laminates that can be bonded directly onto metal roofing panels. Unlike crystalline PV material, there's no need for obtrusive racks and heavy, expensive glass. Instead, unbreakable thin-film PV is produced using amorphous silicon, encapsulated in Teflon and other polymers.

  • Can it still produce a current with some of the crystals damaged?

  • I have a metal roof but it not like the one they recommend. I'm thinking of buying a single sheet of metal to screw onto concrete slab and then adhere the pvl to it. Wise?

    1. the size of the project/array determines the cost. See local and fed susbsidizes to get 30%+ of your project cost paid for. (then keep in mind your roof gives you a return OF investment with lower monthly electric bills.

    4. where is this company and

    5. can you order it through the mail?

  • i work for the company that made the solar panels that are shown in this video. i'm so proud! :) i may have inspected these exact laminates myself before they left our factory!

  • @coolflatroof Good points.

  • @KyleCarrington

Tha's nothing - you get a lifetime roof under it, which you never have to worry about. It protects against ice dams, fire, rain, snow, and keeps your cooling costs down.

  • I'm surprised the government has not come in with the FBI and razed his home. This is one of the best examples of what some call the solar shingle.
