this Peugeot 2.1 TD engine is a very , very good perhaps best of peugeot until now . Mine was 480.000 km . I sold it 2 years ago . Check your glow plug ... may be one is bad .

@da4kinov Interesting answer, but wrong. Peugeots and Citroens of this age used a 4 digit pin as anti-theft protection. The code must be entered before the engine can be started.

@sammyseefatpoon WTF ITS NOT A GREAT CAR WE HAD OURS 3 MONTHS AND THE DIESEL PUP DIED SOMTHING HAPPEND TO THE THROTTOL YOU COULD NOT GET PAST 15 MPH SO OHH AND IT WOULD NOT START HALF THE TIME SO ITS A LODE OF SHIT

I have the same Peugeot. It's a 1,8 L 16V but it doesnt work. The damn starter keeps fucking up. I have changed it last year and it still wont start. Changed also the generator and the battery... French peice of shit...
