Proverbs 3:7 says, "Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil." Joshua Harris uses a beanbag chair to illustrate how we often fail to "turn away from evil."

  • Incredible illustration! I know so many people who are like what you portray in this video, it's not even funny! I've been struggling to get this message through to them, so that was very uplifting and encouraging! I'm going to share this with all my friends!

  • True, true, true... Don't play with sin, believe the One, who KNOWS what, and how sin really is and who is the inventor of it. We don't really know it, we are - relying on our own judgement - blind and presumptuous. What a loving God who wants to help us overcome sin.

  • Great, pure and amazing!! Thanks God!

  • What a huge blessing this was. I really relate to the you judging me? Well your a Pharisee! Sin(Evil) is a leech, slowly sucking you away.

  • Joshua, I thank God for your words in this message! I really do. It speaks right into my heart. Thank you.

  • Great, great message!

  • Woah. It's probably my first time to see a speaker actually lay down on the floor..♥ Joshua Harris! :D He's a blessing!

  • @eproulx Hence why he asked at the end for the listeners to think what came to mind when they think on evil in their life. You think an alcoholic would overlook their constant materialistic praise in drinking when asked that?

  • This man is a smarm!

  • @rroknedaj The bible is full of harsh, polarizing concepts, like Hell.

Our directive is to love is what is true, not hate what is harsh.

And the truth; is that putting on blinders to evil to be holy makes has as much wisdom in it as smelling flowers to keep germs out of your body. The fruits will speak to what is foolishness.
