Oceanside Tea Party 2009

The mediocre-stream media downplayed these gatherings, and continues to misrepresent them. The onus now falls on all of us to step up and make sure the truth is known. Oceanside, CA - Population 173,303. According to police on the scene, estimated Tea Party attendance was approximately 3500. No band, no celebrities, just a big purple dump truck full of "tea" which was promptly dumped into the ocean. No violence, no insanity, just a peaceful gathering of people who feel their voice in government has been lost. People now identified as potential terrorists by Janet Napolitano and The DHS.

You accuse Oceanside of being so "conservative", yet had you been there yourself, you would have seen people in attendance who feel the same way you do. Strongly enough so they picked up a sign and took to the street. These tea parties ARE NOT ABOUT PARTISANSHIP or even one single issue. It's about a federal government who seems to have it in mind they're not going to be held accountable by ANYONE.

of course there is one great thing to cut DEFENSE !!  you ever look at the federal budget ?? billions/trillions of dollars a year fighting illegal 'wars' . 100 million dollar fighter jets that do nothing for us.

Did you attend or are you just speculating? I happened to be there that day and I'll tell you what, most everybody was there because the federal government is simply out of control. Sure, they had individual beefs like taxes, being labeled as possible terror suspects by The DHS, gun control, the legalization of pot, the list goes on and on. As far as cutting education, police, fire ,etc, that is the STANDARD threat always made by governments who want more of our money. There's plenty else to cut

i dont think most of these people really have a clue what they are protesting or what outcome they would honestly want. you want less taxes? well, thats what we are about to get. cut the schools cut the health care, cut the police, the jails. cut state park funding, cut library funding, we want it all but we always want somebody else to pay for it.

OMG, that felt so good to watch. Ive been feeling like im the only one seeing the BS and this showed me how many others, just in oside alone feel the same and did something about it. This made me very emotional. anyone else. thank you

After watching and being a fan of the

movie Gettysburg, this film makes me

proud of everyone who showed up!

Next year, on April 15th, everyone in

the country will not pay thier taxes.

What we only had 3 or 4 weeks to

organize this one? Give us 6 months!
