It's disappointing that ID is better known for their engine which was used in CoD rather than launching the FPS genre into greatness.

fuck then engine, any engine can run high frame rate with the right hardware, but sure the engine must be sound.

@randomizer885 The game was GREAT. Just be open minded. The boss battles aren't major major, you'll have 2 boss battles prior to the big finale... one of them being a GIANT beat when you get the rocket launcher in the Dead City and can control the rocket and hit its weak point (Easy and fun have to jump up to dodge his attack he does in pattern, Platformer style - then in the Power Plant Theres a boss of which feels more like a real real Strong Enemy, not a ridic boss like Deus Ex.

Rage might have a good engine, but a lot of people are now thinking it's shit. I think it has something to do with the dialogue and boss battles and stuff like that.

Next gen needed now. We're gonna get dumbed up fucking games that don't look any better than the last one for several years if they don't release it soon. And everyone will buy a pc.

Have any idea how much disks all those Wing Commanders took? I still have some of them incarnating inside my shelves, clothes, books, bathrooms etc. etc... Back then "Lots of disks" meant "Awesome Cutscenes with Mark Hamill 'n' Friends. Also awesome gameplay, story etc.". Now on DVD-times we don't really remember how much 5-disk packs meant in 1998.
