I don't get stuff unless I have the same high grades. Or I earn it. I have to wash dishes and so the trash to keep my phone. When I get in trouble my mom is like,"give me my phone." She refers to all my stuff as hers.

myy mom growing up was a single parent dad died at 4yrs old she was raising me and 2 brothers everything we had was shared and if u didnt appreciate it u lost it i was doing full time chores by 6yrs old to earn allowence and lol my birthday i got a cake and a list of bills that had to be paid so i coudnt get gifts...but i grew up very appreciative of the stuff i earned for myself

I know someone who bought their child a ipod at the age of 2 years old almost 3. I was like wtf! I know what your talking about here. When I was a kid we didn't get things like that...........lol, maybe cause we didn't have things like that at the time. lol But yeah, I know what you mean.
