Some thoughts:
-Baking powder will keep 6-10 years, but will slowly lose strength. Mine's down about 10% after 5 years. Better to store cream of tartar and baking soda separately.
-Hard to have too much baking soda: baking, toothpaste, first aid, treating dehydration, etc.
-We store butter-flavor Crisco for butter flavor. Storea at least 13 years in a basement just fine.

In my food prep I also have a bunch of "Chef Boyardee" cans of whatever.

Pippie2010va - Sams (i.e. Wal-Mart) is, in large part the very reason that relations with China has created situations where we must be concerned with [econimic] emergency preps. I guess what I'm saying is Sams club sucks.

Better get that stuff in a dark environment, or it will go south half as fast at least... too lazy to cite such evidence but just put the stuff in the dark..! Good video!

Nice videos : )
Important it is to prioritize, and do the most vital things first and of course use all your resources as jealously as you can so you can get more done with what you have
Happiness is mental, survival physical. You need basic things to live, you don't need much to be happy if you get perspective right, but they're nice
I tend to ramble if I have things to say so I'll shut up now lol

Thanks omegahpla. Totally agree. That's why I keep in my storage food items that I know keep my family happy - like Nutella. Even if we are eating rice an beans everyday, knowing that a spoonful of nutella is available will keep us going mentally.
