JohnTV and Video Vigilante confronted by pimp and prostitute

4/12/2012 - OKC, OK -- Ride along with Video Vigilante Brian Bates as he uses his video camera to shine a spotlight on the graphic reality of street prostitution in Oklahoma City.

In this episode Bates tapes a couple of street prostitutes in an effort to discourage their activity.

Later one of the hooker's pimps follows Bates and tries to intimidate him.

Could I get hurt? Absolutely. But people get hurt in this neighborhood all the time simply going about their day. At least if I get hurt it will be while taking on the bad element.

Hello Brian, First off good job and stay safe. Second I was wondering if you have seen a real statistical decline in prostitution activity in the areas you operate? Or is the prostitution relocating to other areas?

You can't really get accurate stats on the level of prostitution in any city since stats are simply based on arrests. However, the numbers of prostitutes on S. Robinson Ave. has greatly declined over the years. At one time you could count 20-30 girls in a 6 block area. Now the most you see is 5-8. Often you see none.
