Teachers in the history and English departments at the Head-Royce School in Oakland, CA think collectively about ecological themes embedded in their curriculum, K-12, all disciplines. We did this work in collaboration with the Center for Ecoliteracy, an organization that is "dedicated to education for sustainable living." The Center For Ecoliteracy helped us think about core competencies for sustainable living (Head, Heart, Hands, Spirit) and what this means in action. http://www.ecoliteracy.org/ Submitted by Karen Bradley
