I have an ES335 and it's perfect for this BB KIng type of blues.
However, it wouldn't fit the SRV or Buddy Guy style quite so well although they could make it work.
I love the beautiful guitar phrasing in this piece. Simple but haunting and suits the piece so well....Kinda like a coyote howling at the moon on a lonesome desert dune.

To come on here and make great big broad statements about musicians being overrated or underrated is simply opinion and musical opinions vary vastly. It's a personal thing just like the music itself. Gary does a beautiful job on this if you love the blues like I do but many wouldn't think his voice is all that strong or that he doesn't do anything special on the guitar.
Just an opinion

Totalyy sick of those who want to compare musicians - it is so childish. Gary was simply brilliant and that happens to be the guy playing here, ooooh how coincidental!

@perkalov Clapton has very little swing a really good blues player swings. He is also a racist even though he has made millions out of playing black music.

You can compare any guitarists...how silly to say you can't. Santana is vastly different, but whoever it was down there who said he wasn't good was being silly. Gary Moore was the best guitarist who ever lived, though...bar none. FEEL it. RIP Gary

If anyone who hears this can't feel that guitar, I will say a prayer for their soul, because they are already dead...never, has there been anyone better than Gary Moore...

I find Santana insanly boring and realy cant understand what ppl find atractive in his music/guitarplay. That however doesnt make me call him overrated.
Im in no way a big fan or Clapton, mostly because that I also have somewhat of a problem with his music. But he does a good work in "While my guitar gently weeps" or actually imo most times he doesnt play his own music.
Anyway, I understand, thou I dont agree with you.
I do however think that Peter Green is underrated.
Not only one of the greatest guitarists (such exquisite tone and feel, no and shredding nonsense), but Gary had a first class singing voice too.
