the beauty with these early mustangs..is that they are lighter ,handle and peform better than any other later mustang.. i have a 66 fastback,, running a very mild and very streetable 347 windsor stroker with alloy heads and manifold, mild roller cam 750 holley,toploader.. nine inch... and has 435 hp.. it runs very low 12s over the quarter all day everday,, thats faster than a current shelby and much cheaper ...plus with a few suspension modications they can handle quite well..

sure you could option them anyway you wanted but who wants a mustang or any american muscle car with a v6 hot damn its all about the raw loud power lol
-
@the new shelbys can't beat this car in one catagory just yet, maybe over time, but not right now. Price/ worth. Current shelblys are what $50-70k, this thing is $100k +.

Jay's a motor head

Exactly! My 69s were not the best handling cars, but you knew exactly when they would let go!

they put those little bitty burned out "cherry bomb" glasspacks on the shelbys just for looks i think, basically open exhaust. i have a duplicate "tribute mustang" and get just as many thumbs up just cuz its a cool car .
