@LiliumCandidum27 Here are songs you should check out by each band: "Prequel to the Sequel" by Between the Buried and Me. "Bloodmeat" by Protest the Hero. "CAFO" by Animals as Leaders. As for some really good non metal bands, I'd strongly suggest "Oh Lord" by Foxy Shazam, "Yellow Cat/Red Cat" by Say Anything (or pretty much anything by Say Anything. They're lyrically and melodically awesome.) and also check out "Messes of Men" by mewithoutYou. They are probably La Dispute's biggest influence.

@LiliumCandidum27 I listen to a ton of all genres. Just like you. Our musical tastes are all over the place. I know you're really into metal. I am too. I'd my favorite band ever is Between the Buried and Me. They are really progressive and instumentally amazing. They have really long songs like Opeth. They can be super brutal and heavy and then blend it into something really pretty and melodic. I'm also really into Protest the Hero and Animals as Leaders.
