  • Omega 6 is bad for you though..

  • Canned wild catch salmon is only $ 1.69 a can and salmon pattys are delish. You can do almost anything with it that you can with tuna. Salmon is high in omaga 3 and calcium.A pregnant or nursing mom can have two meals of canned salmon a week without worrying about mercury levels.

  • There is a guy here on utube that is trying to stop fish oil tabelts. In my town there a old itailan guy who is 78,he still works on the farm and hes been taking fish oil tabets for 20 years and hes fighting fit.

  • Am J Clin Nutr. 2009;89(5). n-3 fatty acids receiving the most attention are derived from fish: EPA; 20:5n-3 and DHA; 22:6n-3. Limited data are available on plant n−3 ie ALA; 18:3n-3. Meta-analyses suggest EPA and DHA supplementation do not provide additive cardiovascular protection beyond standard care. No data exist on EPA, DHA or ALA supplement benefits for people already consuming vegetarian diets. There's insufficient evidence to recommend n−3 supplements for cardiovascular protection

  • I had folic acid & took prenatal vitamins with DHA-fish oil in the prenatal vitamins during all of my pregnancies. My 1st was a high risk with severe maternal anemia. blood transfusions, stayed on iron tablets. Each pregnancy that continued with no miscarriage healthy babies from early iron tablet intake, with folic acid & prenatal vitamins with fish oil. 3rd pregnancy was a miscarriage

Fell pregnant again, took iron, fish oil in prenatals, folic, vomit once, made 1 slight low iron level.

  • Hey Franna you say that this is a load of rubbish, man you're so wrong.

I've taken all kinds of supplements for Brain health like Gingko Biloba, COQ10, Ginseng, Turmeric Extract...none of them worked for me, and didn't cure my Schizophrenia.

When I started taking Fish Oil everyday, I'm finally living a normal life, and thank God that these Fish Oil supplements are in the Market today...do not underestimate the power of Fish oil, it's really good for the body

    .

  • I'm reading that omega-3 is amazing for the body! But i'm confused because some say you should take omega-3 softgel with high potency vitamins in the morning, then Im reading that fish oil (which is also omega-3) is required for good health.

So now im confused, do i take fish oil omega-3 fatty acids softgel or liquid, or do I take omega-3 fatty acids tablet/soft gel or do i take them both ?

  • rock on
