Browser comparison: iPhone 3G vs Sharp Zaurus SL-5600

Just for the fun of it, I decided to compare the speed of opening the device, loading up the browser (that was not already cached in RAM), and then go visit google's main page and run a few searches.

Remember that the SL-5600 dates from 2002 and has an Intel PXA-270 processor at 400MHz. OS is the Watapon ROM, which is a modified rom from the original from Sharp. Environment is Qtopia and the browser is Opera.

Pretty impressive for such an old and underpowered device.

Granted this test shows nothing, as the iPhone does a million other tasks at the same time wihle the Zaurus can only show the page and nothing more!

But it's fun to do :)
