Video clip of Christians in Toronto opposing sectarian violence in Egypt. God Bless all those folks who braved the - 20 C weather!
In a horrific attack in Upper Egypt, three Muslim extremists opened fire on a congregation coming out of a Coptic Orthodox Church following midnight Christmas Eve service on January 6, 2010.
Eight young Coptic Christians were killed, and 20 were injured.
This is not the first attack that Egyptian Christians have faced, there were various previous attacks in the past few years, in particular in Southern Egypt.
DID YOU KNOW:
+ In Egypt, a Church cannot be built on the same street as a Mosque if the Mosque was built first, BUT a Mosque can be built on the same street as an existing Church.
+ Building a church requires a governor's permission, while the construction of a new mosque needs no such official procedure.
+ We as Christians pray for both our fellow Egyptian Christians and Muslims, and hope a healthy, peaceful relationship can be created. However, religion by force will not be tolerated in the free world.
