Also lets suppose we had a growth rate of say only .....6.5% - well in 10 years this equation will double in size. We probably only 20 left - (sorry).

bigdeezer123 - you say "they" have just found a big oil field. Well who is "they" and how big is it. My facts - from Minister of Energy Canada - the total recoverable reserves globally is about 1332,000,000,000 barrels ( 1.33 trillion ). Consumption globally is about 85220,000 b/d - again surf google and you will find the truth. Do the math and see what your answer is. There have been very few substantial finds since the 80's. The new ones are the very expensive ones aswell.

40yrs of oil left? They just discovered the biggest oil find in history. There is enough oil in this country to keep us going for at LEAST 100 yrs. We havent even tapped the REAl offshore pockets. So where do you get these lies from? Alot of ppl think that i would b great to live without oil, but as soon as it's gone they would be the first ones screaming when they couldnt fill up their cars. When the stores run out of food , when the lights go off. When their cabinets run out of food. YEAH!
