NES Open Golf - JAPAN Course 40 Under Par (TAS)

Tiger ain't got nothin' on this- Perfect score on NES Open Tournament Golf for the NES (which should be obvious due to the title of the game).

Oh dear. Found an old unfinished run of this game going to waste on my hard drive. I'll likely never get around to finish it due to a certain wind condition being nigh impossible to manipulate (why I benched the run in the first place), but in the meanwhile here are 2 courses out of 3.

As 18 holes of "ball flies super fast and lands directly in the hole" would be boring and repetitive, I mix things up with some trick shots, sand saves, and ball trajectories that break some very important laws of physics. Holes which cannot be made in one shot I tried to land the ball in neat spots/use an unexpected club off the tee/convince you the movie desynched for the hell of it. In short, this isn't a "speedrun", just a "superplay".

Fairly. Wind is tricky to manipulate because so little actually affects it. Wasn't needed for this course (except the final hole) so it's not so bad luck manipulation wise. UK, which I never finished, has a hole where only one wind setting will yield the lowest score, which is why I quit the run. The real challenge was trying to make some interesting shots here and there so things don't get to monotonous. JP 13 took awhile, to get that ridiculous curve to go in the back of the hole like that.

So I came here to check one of the games I was unfamiliar with that I was getting in the other 5 mostly disappointing games in the Nintendo Ambassador Program and now I see that I was right; this game sucks lol
