http://zennie62blog.com/2009/07/09/rev-al-sharptons-amazing-speech-at-michael... One of the highlights of the Michael Jackson Memorial is an amazing speech given by the Rev. Al Sharpton. Sharpton's always a lighting rod for criticism for his "tell-it-like-it-is" style, and he presented it at the memorial. Sharpton gave one of the best speeches I've ever heard because it cut deep to the core reasons why many people love and defend Michael Jackson and for another reason: Jackson represents the growth of mainstream American Culture, where people paid less attention race and more attention to what they liked regardless of the skin color of the person who made what they liked.

Sharpton walked up and delivered an old-fashioned unplanned stump stemwinder speech. The kind I'd expect to hear from him in church.

  • There wasn't strange with Michael Jackson, it was strange what he had to deal with. He was a genial, creative, benevolent, generous, eloquent, funny, loving childlike, and humble icon and humanitarian who was able to bond with all kinds of races, ages, tribes, religions. He dealt the world with a child's heart and the world couldn't understand this and turned against him putting malice in everything he did.

  • thank YOU AL Sharpton for the lovely speech at MJ'S memorial.... ty ty ty thank YOU AL SHARPTON.. and Peace to all!!!!

  • "Wasn't nothing strange about your daddy. It was strange what your daddy had to deal with."

Amen, and amen! What better statement to describe, even today, the injustices that Michael had to endure—that, and Marlon's "Being judged...ridiculed...how much pain can one take? Maybe now, Michael, they will leave you alone."

  • Al Sharpton believes that a vote for Obama was a vote for socialism. watch?v=KCpINI5aVy0 Al Sharpton wants to share the wealth. “Al Sharpton: We Won't Have True Social Justice Until Everything is Equal in Everybody's House” watch?v=95bcEb1rV18

    .

Sharpton should start by giving up his $5 million (from celebrity net worth com) It’s also worth noting Hilter was a socialist that seemed to follow the Communist Manifesto.

  • JUST GOOGLE; "Al Sharpton what you want 4 labor day?"

  • That speech was amazing, I watched this about 20 times since memorial.

  • @soulblader7 forgive me for offending you, but if discrimination is supposed to be right, then looks like i wont be doing the right thing after all. like i said i was raised to treat people as people, not as black, white, yellow, etc. and if that's wrong, then too bad.
